Recommendation for Pediatric Ent, please?
Hi! My sons pediatrician recommended an Ent for him in Prohealth. We went and waited over 2 hrs!! It was ridiculous. My son who is 3 yrs old was getting very impatient and was hungary. So we decided to leave after waiting 2 hrs!! I was furious. The doc did call and left me a message an hr later apologizing and ask for me to reschedule. But I really don't want to. I do not want to put my baby thru that torture again. So I was wondering does anyone know of any Pediatrician Ent? Please recommend yours..tia!

Dr Matar in Port Jeff. He did my sons ear tubes...11 yrs ago but he was good. Not sure if he still practices

I love Dr. Campbell. He talked to the child rather than you and is so easy going. My son had a horrible experience with an ear exam when he had an ear ache with a different doctor and then Dr. Campbell had to examine him within the same week. I thought for sure my son was going to freak out but Dr. Campbell made him feel safe and calm and was able to do the exam without any problems. I don't know about wait times b/c we always go early in the morning (around 7:15-7:30-we try to get the first appt of the day). I highly recommend him!

We used dr Robert Ward ( his partner Max April is excellent too). They are two of the top ENT's I have been told by several peds as well as other drs. Their main office is in NYC but they do have a Woodbury location. We used Dr ward for my DD surgery. He was affiliated with Cornell and now NYU. Has been in best drs in NY for a while. We saw him in the city and it was very easy. If you don't want to go to the city you can go to their li office.

we have used dr spencer for over three years -he has taken great care of my 3 boys and me too
I try to get morning appointments with any doctor because they are usually less backed up

My older DD see's Dr. Mendelsohn in Garden City and my younger DD see's Dr. Sorin in New Hyde Park.
Can't go wrong with either of them. Love them!

Ugh...I hate the ProHealth group. I took my DD to see a derm there and waited forever. I wasn't happy with the Dr. either...plus they keep sending me "informative health" emails.

My DD was a patient of Dr. April's years ago (when she was an infant) and we were very very happy with him. We used to visit him at the Woodbury location.

agree! i take DS to Mendelsohn and I see Zelman for myself. in my opinon Zelman is not kid friendly. he yelled at my son once for crying after putting the scope in his nose. great doctor...not much patience.

I also use Mendelson for DS and Zelman is my doctor. My DS is special needs and Dr. Mendelson has been great with him. I love Dr. Zelman, but like the AP, not sure I would recommend him for children.
