what direction to lay floor tiles
What direction do you think we should lay our 12x24 kitchen tiles. It connects into the living room wood floors.. The wood is going the length of the house.

I would follow the direction of the wood for continuity.
if you have the tiles, lay them out to see which direction looks good to you.
if you don't have the tiles use paper cut to size.

I would lay the longer side of the tile along the longer wall.

So the length of the room is the opposite of the other floor. The kitchen has a small hall to the bathroom, pantry n basement door..

Do u think the powder room th e tiles need to go in the same direction wit the kitchen if its the same tile.
