what do I get for someone who's lost their dog?
A friend has to put her dog down today. I feel horrible for her and I want to send her something, but I don't know what to get.
Help, please?

This. We had a friend who lost a pet. We got it for them and told them its to keep the dogs collar in.

Thanks for the suggestions - I really didn't just want to send like flowers and the keepsake box seems like a good idea.
Anything with the rainbow bridge makes me tear up! I want to get something to acknowledge the loss, but I'm afraid that giving her something will make her cry more. This is tough - thanks again for the suggestions.

Totally agree with this. Don't send them that Rainbow Bridge thing- maybe some people find it comforting, but I don't. Someone sent it to my sister after her dog died and she showed it to me and the only thing I could say was "Why would they do this to you?!" I'm sorry for your friend's loss.
