Teeth cleaning

I'm looking for somewhere to get my dog's teeth cleaned. I have a 5 yr old maltese. The vet charges over $400. Does anyone know of anywhere that is cheaper? She needs a good cleaning- has the stinkiest breath!

Re: Teeth cleaning

My IG just got her teeth cleaned in February, it came to $550 - including 4 extractions.

This breed is prone to dental and oral issues, we get her teeth done once a year by the vet. It's expensive but worth it.

Teeth cleaning

my vet quoted $189 but then there were all these "required" charges and check ups and heartworm test prior... ended up being about $500 too

Re: Teeth cleaning

We just paid about $350 for cleaning and one extraction. We have a cocker spaniel mix. Cockers are known to have bad teeth. Her teeth (&ears) have cost us a fortune over the past few years.

Re: Teeth cleaning

I believe one of the biggest parts of the quote is testing the blood and anesthesia. A lot of dogs who need dental work need it later in their life span, so it's important to make sure they're healthy enough to handle being put under.

I've always heard this is one of the most expensive routine things, along with spaying/neutering. Chat Icon
