we used to go to Nicholas James all the time. The food is really good. The last time we went the waitress wasn't the nicest lol and something happened with our food, I think they messed up our order. My sister is having my nephews Christening there in a few months. I have been wanting to go back just haven't yet.
Thanks any others? Doesn't need to be in Merrick just not to far.

Matteo's in Bellmore. Haven't been there in awhile but have had a lot of larger family functions there. They are good with kids. It's nice too if you go early because you tend to have the place to yourselves.
I've also been to several events at Piccolo and the food is good.
Love Cara Mia too but prefer that for a date night.

Yes I believe they bought Savoy on Merrick ave. the landlord wanted to raise their rent by 30%. My sister had booked a party at NJ for May and they called to tell her. She's switching to savoy. They are taking their people with them.
We wound up at AcQua in south Merrick. It's on the water all the way down Hewlett ave. it was ok. The waiter was a little rude and annoying but they food was ok. Not terrible not the best. It's family style. They have a party room upstairs. We had 8 adults and 6 kids and they gave us the room b/c they had no party. That was nice. We didn't have to worry about bothering other people
