Dog boarding

My husband and I are going out of town for 3 days (2 nights) and we need to look for boarding.

We live in commack but will be stopping in the plainview area before we leave town so either area would work for us. We don't want him boarded all day, we want him to be able to play and have fun with other (healthy) dogs.

Any suggestions? I spoke to pet smart but want to check a bunch of places. Looking for estimated pricing as well! Thanks in advance!

Definitely check out Hounds Town USA! They have 3 locations -- my Bruno goes to the doggie daycare at the Farmingdale location (right off of Rt. 110) He LOVES it there! They run the business very professionally -- all dogs who go (either for boarding or day care) must present their vaccination records and all dogs also must undergo a temperament evaluation to ensure they are compatible with other dogs. They have a website and a Facebook page! I believe if you board them, they get a bath and brush the day you pick them up! If you go to Farmingdale, tell them that Ali & George (Bruno's parents) referred you!

Dog boarding

we boarded at petsmart in commack after seeing the conditions at ronkonkoma houndstown. but our dogs are small so they would be crushed there! (even in the small dog room!)

Willow Pet Hotel - they have all sorts of packages that you can add-on to and the dogs don't get put in tiny crates. They're sizable individual runs.

I add on doggie day care. I think I end up paying $45/night for everything.
