IUIs at Cornell
Has anyone had an IUI at Cornell? How much do they cost (without insurance)? I looked at the brochure they gave me and I am thinking around $800 when I add up the fees. Does that sound right? (This would a non-medicated IUI with just the HCG trigger the day before and a sperm wash.)
Also, does anyone know if they have early hours for IUIs? I'm hoping there will be a way we can go before work.

Re: IUIs at Cornell
This sounds accurate for the actually iui procedure (assuming it's back to back?) but does not include monitoring appts, blood draws, and definitely does not cover drugs (which could cost more than the iui itself depending on what they prescribe!)
I was never a patient at Cornell, this is just based on my experience elsewhere. You should call them and ask for an itemized breakdown. When I looked into an iui without insurance where I was cycling it was going to be a couple thousand but the iuis itself was $350 per day. That was like 3 years ago.
Eta- just reread and saw you won't be using drugs!

Thanks! Do you have to have bloodwork done with each IUI? DH and I had bloodwork done on our consult day. They tested my AMH and tested us for HIV and a few other things..this was in January.

Re: IUIs at Cornell
i'm going to cornell for my iui and you get a blood test and an ultrasound at the start of each cycle. then you go back for one more ultrasound and they let you know if you should trigger (but you are also tracking via ovulation sticks, so you might not need the trigger). You can only go from 730-830am for these tests, but they are open 7 days a week.
the HCG trigger was $171 w/o insurance. I actually have insurance but I messed up the timing and was not able to get it fulfilled through my insurance-approved pharmancy (mail order) in time so I had to pay full price.
they do have a price list - i may still have it at home but you can def call and ask them. they are really nice!
