ring sizing question

I just got engaged a few days ago :)
Ok maybe I am not used to wearing a ring...he got me a 5 1/2 and when I went in because it was to big, they sized me at a 4 1/2.They said it should be snug and take effort to get off over the knuckle....I feel it less today but yesterday it bothered me on my finger..I can turn it and it comes off without a struggle, I just worry about the summer months.I am also going to florida in a couple weeks and hoping that doesn't affect it and become ultra tight. I also want to lose 5-7 pounds so will that take away from ring size? (just fyi I have been wanting to lose 5-7 for over a year lol and I still say that)
oh also I noticed yesterday after a salty meal it became snugger to..

It sounds fine to me. You don't want it to fall off your finger and get lost.

And congrats on getting engaged.

Re: ring sizing question

I would have them stretch it to a 4 3/4. Mine isn't loose enough to slip off but it's loose enough that it can turn a bit. In the summer when my fingers swell it gets tight.

Congrats! I'd give it a few days to see if it's just a matter of getting used to it. If it's still bothering you, you could see about getting it resized. If it turns and comes off without a struggle, it sounds like it fits well.

Congratulations!!! It honestly takes a little bit to get used to wearing the ring on your finger all the time, but that sounds about right. Mine is loose-ish up to knuckle then tight at the knuckle, and on days when my fingers are swollen, it is tight all around... And I mean tight.

Thank you. I definetly think I wasn't used to it because it doesn't bother me anymore...I think now it fits perfect but I know once im swollen I will be lucky to get it on me lol
