First Communion..

If your child is making his / her first communion this year or made it in the past couple of years how do you plan on spending the day or how did you spend the day?

Feeling like I should be doing more for DD...we are going for lunch with some family and friends after the church and then back to our house for cake and a pinata which she asked for!! anything else I should or could be doing?

I plan to have a small party at a restaurant for my dd when she makes her 1st communion next year

DD makes hers in 2 weeks. We are just having close family/friends over for a lunch. Maybe about 25 people. I am making half the food and the rest is being catered.

We are having a small party at home after, with a catered lunch. The weekend after we are going up to see extended family for my nieces' Communion.

We're "low-key" these days.

We just had the family come back to the house and grilled (steaks and such). DD and her brothers played with their cousins. I asked DD what kind of cake she wanted and she stated cookies & cream, so I picked up a Stop & Shop 1/4 sheet cake and let her decorate it (she had a blast using the cake decorating gel/icings. )
