Cloudy Toe Nail

I know this is weird and maybe TMI but the nail on one of my big toe's is cloudy, extra thick, and has these horizontal lines on it. It's very unattractive and even though I paint my toe nails I am still uncomfortable with it.

Does anyone know what it could be and how to get rid of it?

toe fungus. see a podiatrist. need a topical prescrip ointment.

I have tried over the counter, tea tree oil. vicks, none helped.

My nails get cloudy when i wear nail polish too often - in the summer its on all the time. I don't polish them in the winter and they go back to normal.

If you are saying it looks thick- then definitely a fungus.

U can't tell if its fungus or not just by describing it online. Def go to a podiatrist and get a biopsy of the nail. Treat whatever it is right away. Toenails are a PIA to deal with since they take forever to grow out

Go to a podiatrist and they can test to see if it's fungus. I have this too and in my case they tested negative for fungus so it is nail psoriasis (I have it on my skin as well) if the nail is pitting at all it's likely psoriasis...
