Those who have stopped...
Hi everyone, I am wondering how many readers on here have been through fertility treatment, it didn't work and have decided to end all fertility treatments and move into the next phase of their lives or journey. IF is a small community however those who don't have a baby after trying and trying all IF procedures....well, that's even smaller. There are so many things that happen when you decide to stop....I would love to hear from those who did and where there lives are at now.
Please add a comment if this is you. thanks.

I'm not one of those, but my aunt is. She adopted a baby. Just bc you stop treatments doesn't mean your dream of having a family stops.

Those who have stopped...
We have a DD from an IVF we did 7 years ago. After 3 m/cs last year..one from a natural cycle, one fresh IVF cycle and one from a FET, we have decided to just wait for now. We haven't eliminated the possibility of doing more IF treatments in the future but for right now we are focusing on other things..(our DD, buying a house, our careers). It's been almost exactly a year since my last miscarriage and back then I would have thought for sure I would have another baby by now or at least be pregnant. I have learned for now to let it go and just enjoy what I have. IF treatments are super stressful and it was consuming every moment of my life and making me super depressed so I decided to take a step back.
I know it's a hard decision but it was best for my family for now. I think sometimes you just need a break..whether it's a few months or a year just to regroup.

Re: Those who have stopped...
We haven't stopped completely, but we have taken a break.
We did IVF in the beginning of 2013 which resulted in me getting pregnant with twin boys. I ended up going into labor at 21 weeks and lost both boys in July.
We did a FET in November that didn't take and then we decided to take a break. I felt that infertility and TTC were consuming us so we decided to focus on 'us' for a while…we went on vacation, I started working out more, we planned a trip to AC for 4th of July weekend and we bought tickets to a bunch of concerts and Broadway shows for this summer.
I haven't given up completely, we still have 2 more paid tries under our insurance, but we have discussed how far we will go before 'giving up.' We've also talked about adoption.

Thanks ladies for sharing your journey. APT910 - I am so sorry you lost your twin boys - how painful and difficult. I understand the need to "take a break" and rest your body and soul. It's nice to get back to the business of living after the rollercoaster of treatments.
