Heartbroken
I haven't posted here in awhile so I hope no one minds me posting now :(. Tonight I had to put my first baby, my best friend to sleep. She was 10 years and 8 month old rotty and was diagnosed on Sunday with metastized cancer through out her entire body. She wasn't eating well and was struggling to urinate. I hope she knows how much I love her and will miss her. My little one lover her so much and just keeps asking for her while my other dog is pacing the house looking for her. One of the hardest things to do in my entire life. Rest Peacefully my sweet, sweet Tonka.

I had to do it 2 weeks ago to my almost 12 year old baby girl. Worst day of my life. We cried for 3 days straight. Let me just say that it gets a little easier everyday. My kids, hubby and I can now say her name and smile again knowing we have her a beautiful, deeply loving life. There is no truer love than that of a dog. They are selfless and loyal and if people were like them, this world would be a better place. My prayers are will you.
Tomorrow we are picking up our new puppy. While she will never replace our girl, she will make us smile again.

I'm so sorry. I had to put my chihuahua down for the same reason 2 years ago, it's an awful thing to go through. I have no words to make you feel better so I'm just sending you lots of hugs and keeping you in my thoughts.

Its the worst thing to have to do... even when its the right thing to do.  Even now.. I have 6 and 7 year old pups.. and I still get a pang of sorrow and loss when I think of my first boy Max... But it does get easier with time.

I am so so sorry for your loss. I know your pain too well and all I can promise is that it will get better in time. It took me a couple of weeks but I do feel a little better each day. Please find comfort in knowing that you did what was best for her and she knew how much you loved her.

Thank you for all the well wishes and hugs, it helps. I stopped at her groomer today and let them know that she passed. They were very upset and it actually made me feel good that other people loved her as much as we did. I still can't grasp life without her, but, still I know I did the right thing for her.

I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss! Remember the happy times, the cuddles, the kisses, etc. Tonka is in a better place now!
