Abdominal retrieval??

Can you please share your experiences ? I was told I will have to have this done. What was the recovery like? Is it laparoscopic like with a camera or is just a needle directed into the ovaries through the abdomen?

I'm wondering if it affects the amount of eggs retrieved etc

I had one, if they had not told me I would not have known.
I was a bit more sore from that retrival compared to my others, the others I was fine by the evening and even went out to dinner. Even though the abdominal one was tougher, I was still able to go to work to a fairly physical job the next day.

I had it done

It is laparoscopic and it did not affect the number of eggs retrieved. I had a total of 19 retrieved

My recover was ok very bloated and sore the day of and as day went on I was sore and had a little trouble getting out of bed and needed my dh to help me out and walk me to the bathroom

Sore next day and day after but it got better as time went and on third day I felt better
