what do you wear to a wake in the summer?
I have nothing to wear! What's appropriate to wear to a wake in the summer?

I would say some sort of wrap dress with short sleeves would wear and maybe a light cardigan..or else a pair of light pants and shirt should work.

I agree with the "no bright colors" thing. I always wear black or black and gray. My MIL on the other hand, thinks it's ok if she has a bright color on under a black blazer, etc. I just think it's rude, esp. If you know the people.

Thanks everyone. I didn't have a work type black dress so I went with a navy blue striped dress. Lots of people had on maxi dresses believe it or not!
