Hanauer/dolici office?
I have been trying to get ahold of them for about a week. No one is answering the phone or calling back? Are they on vacation?!

No, that's weird, I have an appt tonight. Here is their number, just in case, (516) 742-2224.

Hanauer/dolici office?
Finally got someone. I needed a prescription refill and they told me they don't have the manpower or patience to sit on the phone with the pharmacy so tell the pharmacy to call them! I am done

Hanauer/dolici office?
I've heard nothing but nightmares with this office staff. SIL left the practice mid pregnancy for baby #2 because she couldn't handle it anymore. She constantly referred to one lady at the front desk who was always rude, condescending, and impatient.

Hanauer/dolici office?
So Dr. Hanauer was my GYN for about 10 years. I even went to her when she was in Bethpage. I love her. I thought she was the only gyn I would go to. However it was nearly impossible to get an appointment with her for a yearly check up. I would have to call like 3 months ahead and usually ended up just seeing whoever was available. I only had one issue with her office over the years.
Now that I'm pregnant I decided to switch to an OB associated with North Shore not Winthrop. Looks like that was a good decision... Sorry you are having such a hard time and you should definitely say something to the Dr. about this.

I agree! I love Hanauer and I love Dolici. I am leaving bc of the office staff and their incompetence.

I was there yesterday, they are not on vacation. But I totally hear you. Everything all the previous posters have said is true. I love dr Hanauer, but am considering switching myself for the reasons all mentioned.

I had a similar experience. I only started going to her once I found out I was pregnant with my son in 2008. Appts were no problem while I was pregnant, but as soon as I had him, it was ridiculous to get an appt with her. I was not happy with seeing a nurse practitioner. I wanted to see MY doctor.
Ironically, she didn't even deliver my son because she was on vacay when my water broke. The covering doc they use delivered him and I loved him so much, I switched to him!
Plus, Hanauer completely missed the fact that one of my friends had gestational diabetes and her son had to be in the nicu for 2 weeks.

Oh wow. Who do you see now? I totally get it, I wanted to see a Dr. too. They are not very accommodating with the GYN patients. Thats crazy she missed a friend with GD. I also decided to switch bc Dr. H is part time and thats part of the problem with getting an app with her. I do really love her though.

I use Dr. Plancher in garden city. His office staff is wonderful and you never have to wait more than 10 min in the office. Plus, you can get an appt with him within a week or so, not 3 months lol.

Wow dr Hanauer was on vacation when I had my baby 3 weeks early. I forget the other woman doctor in her practice who was going to deliver but I was in labor so long she left for the day so I also ended up with Dr. plancher who ended up delivering my daughter. I just kept thinking after all that and no doctor from hanauers practice even delivered her. When did you have your baby? Just wondering if it was around the same time as me.

Hanauer/dolici office?
Back in Sept. 2008. I switched to him as soon as I discovered how ridiculously difficult it was to get a regular gyno appt with Hanauer. Been with him ever since. He delivered my daughter in 2011. Best decision ever. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever met.
