Immune results came back and
I have one copy A1298c MTHFR but dr said given my NL homocysteine level is normal he finds no cause for concern.
He said if NL was elevated or there were two copies of MTHFR then that could be a problem but there wasn't.
He said to make sure I continue my prenatal vitamins and make sure I have 800-1000 mcg of Folic acid in those vitamins.
Any one have experience with this type of issue??

Immune results came back and
I have MTHFR 2 copies of C677T which is the worst one since I have 2 of the same. I also have something called PAI-1. I carried twins to full term 38 weeks. They are 2 1/2 now.
I took only baby aspirin & no lovenox. Good Luck to you.

I have one copy and I believe DH has two copies. We both took metanx for this.

I also have one copy. Homocysteine levels were also normal. I was put on metanx. As long as homocysteine levels are good, they do not really do anything. I also took baby aspirin. Most doctors will just have people do this. Most of my fertility doctors did this and checked my homocysteine level. Yet I did have one fertility doctor have me take metanx, lovenox, and baby aspirin as well. I think that was too much.

Thanks that's good to know. He has me taking baby aspirin but as of now he doesn't want to put me on anything else.

Hi, I would suggest asking ur doctor for a separate prescription for metanx in addition to ur regular prenatal vitamin. The metanx has folic acid as well other b vitamins that are made a certain way for people with mthfr. My understanding is that if one has mthfr, regular folic acid, such as in a prenatal vitamin , is not absorbed as well as for someone who does not have mthfr. Good luck with everything.
