Back from my IUI-updated 9/26!
Well I am back, It wasn't bad at all.
He put in the speculum and inserted a small catheter into my cervix injecting the sperm.
I had no pain just a small amount of cramping. After he did a sono which showed I still had a big follicle and he wants me back in the am to do it again!
The bad thing is, he said that the chance of a BFP is somewhere around 10%.
Not good odds!
Updated: Went back today for my 2nd IUI..he said that my follicle was starting to collapse. That is positive, at least we had good timing.
Officially the TWW begins!!

I know what you mean. I used to spend the 2ww feeling like a crazy person.
Half thinking "I'm going to beat the odds and get a BFP" and half thinking "The odds are low, so don't get your hopes up!"
Hoping you get the BFP!!!

I saw that it was 10% chance too. Why is it so low when they say the average person has a 25% chance naturally? It doesn't make sense to me.

Once you move on to IUI you have some sort of "problem" which significantly lowers your chances of Pregnancy.
They say the average IUI success rate is 10-20% with around 14% being the average.
So...what they are saying is you have less a chance theb the "average " couple cause you unfortunatly not average....

I'm considering this. Does your DH have to give his sample there, or can he do it at home, and you bring it. I think the anxiety will get to him if he had to do it in the office.

You can bring it with you, he can do it at home.

Yeah DH gave his sample to me and I dropped it off.
I think it is much easier than doing it there.
No stage fright. lol
