Nursery Themes
I don't have a nursery since I'm in a one bedroom apt, but my son's stuff is alligator themed. I got a really cute set from Target, but Pottery Barn kids also has a cute set.

We didn't do a theme - I did a very eclectic vintage look with antique soda bottles, metal signs, and lots of cool retro bric-a-brac. We used Olympia Sweet Pea paint on top of white chair rail and had crown moulding with wood floors. My goal was not to have it look baby-ish, and something that could grow with DS once he is out of the crib, etc.
I get SOOOO many compliments on it.
crashing...but I would love to see a picture of this. Sounds incredible!
I have added a lot more to it, but it's hardly ever as clean

I know what you mean about keeping in neutral. We are actually switching bedrooms, so the room we are in will become the nursery. Well, when we first painted that room, DH wanted dark blue, so we did dark blue - it looks like a University of Buffalo bedroom (DH's university). Since we're having a boy, DH wants to leave it, I want to paint it something neutral because DS will have to share that room with any future DC.
This is what we did, we painted the room a sage green and got red gingham valances. DD has her name hanging on wood letters with red gingham ribbons. The theme is perfect for a little girl and the green would be good for a boy. I'd hate to have to repaint with a new baby coming...

Our nursery is navy blue and we have a girl. It's not typical but surprisingly feminine. All furniture is white and we used coral as the accent color. I have a pic on my iphone but I never learned how to post photos on here otherwise I would show you lol.
