Birthday Party Scheduling
Would you take your kids to a birthday party Thanksgiving weekend? DD's b-day is the first week in December. We are taking her on vacation Wednesday-Friday as a surprise. DH says do the party after her birthday, but I was concerned everyone would think she was out of school sick and not come to the party.
Thoughts?

I would have no problem with a Thanksgiving weekend birthday party. I wouldn't even think twice about her being absent beforehand.

We go away and have had to decline invitations for that weekend. We received just a few over the years.
