Cavapoo
Talk to me about this breed please. So far everything seems positive, but don't know enough about them. Doing some research too. I have two boys 5 and 3. We have a big backyard. Older DS has allergies so needs to be hypoallergenic. Positive? Negatives? Thanks!

Re: Cavapoo
There are no hypoallergenic dogs. Hair dogs don't give off as much dander so they are better for people with allergies. If the allergy is severe, I would stay away from any dog. If it's basic allergy, then a hair dog would probably be ok.
A cavapoo is half fur dog and half hair dog. And there is no way to tell which of the traits they will take on as they grow. So, for allergy reasons, I would go either pure breed Hair dog OR a Mix of two hair dogs. For example: Yorkie, Morkie or Yorkie Poo, Teddy bear (Shih-Tzu Bichon Mix), Malti-Poo, Etc Etc Etc. Anything mixed with a shedding breed, may shed. If it was simply because you would rather have no or little shedding, then a Cavo-poo would be fine. Again, with Allergies, I'd be a little more careful.
