The Cheese Cake Factory
Just tried this place for the first time and wasn't impressed with the entree or cheesecake I ordered. Knowing how many people love this place I'm wondering if it was just a bad choice of meals.
What is your favorite meal at this place?

Chicken Madiera is amazing
Spinach Dip is awesome
Chicken Costoletta is good
Skinny menu, Lemon Garlic shrimp is awesome
I had a bad experience years ago, didnt go for years and now go often and love most of the thing I have gotten.

I loved the crispy spicy beef but I don't think they have it anymore. DH loves the shepherd's pie. My favorite cheesecake is the Godiva chocolate cheesecake.

My girl friends and I will go once in a while bc their portions are big and we get a couple of apps to split and have drinks. I like the lettuce wraps, stuffed mushrooms, and they have some good stuffed wontons or pot stickers.

Avocado egg rolls are delicious.
Seared tuna is really good too.
Lettuce wraps
But honestly, I'm with you. For the calorie intake this place gives, it's not worth it to me.

I don't really like it there either. I find the food to be very greasy. I can't even remember what I ordered the last time I went. It was years ago.

What did you order? I am not a fan of cheesecake, and hate all of the desserts at the cheesecake factory. The problem is their menu is so BIG, it is easy to get something that probably isn't great. But once you find that one meal that just fits you, the food is amazing.
I haven't loved every entree but I do love cheesecake factory. They have thee best chicken caesar salad in my opinion. Some of their pasta dishes are really good too. I think DH always orders the cajun chicken pasta dish and it is very good. I also like all the appetizers, especially the buffalo blasts and the nachos. Good drinks too, I like the peach bellini and the georgia peach.
It probably depends on what you order.

I ordered the chicken bellagio and it tasted as if the spaghetti pesto was cooked the day before and I felt the cheese cake was bland had absolutely no flavor. For an 8 dollar slice cheesecake I was dissapointed .

We've eaten there a few times, but I always get either the Luau Salad (tropical salad with chicken) or the Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp.
DH has tried the Eggplant Sandwich (didn't like it), Factory Burrito (it's enough for 4 people to eat, it's huge), and the Jamaican Black Pepper Shrimp (LOVED).
As for appetizers, our go to are either the Mac & Cheese balls, or the Avocado Egg Rolls

I think it is good for being a chain restaurant. So is Grand Lux. They both offer a large variety of items so it is good for pleasing everyone.
My favorites:
small chopped salad (its more than enough for a meal)
Mongolian and sesame chicken
spicy fried chicken sandwich
Cuban sandwich
I don't remember which is from cheesecake and which is from grand lux. And their cheesecakes are okay but by far not my favorite.

I think they are better than most chains like Applebee's or Chili's that is for sure.
It's not gourmet, but it's better than your average chain.
The cheesecake, while good, is not the best I ever had, but I like the varieties.
I tried Grand Lux this weekend and I actually liked it better.
We had this mashed potato spring roll thing for an app that was like heaven!

I HATE the CF.

I think it's the processed food.
I haven't been back in several years actually.

Yeah I felt there menu was all over the place too. I thought the place was absolutely beautiful I kind of felt I was away at some tropical resort restaurant.
The burrito or mushroom burger was my second choice so I will go back and try it again. The salads did look good too. Not sure if I will try a different cheesecake since I'm sure the cheesecake is made the same for all the different varieties they have.

I LOVE the Hibachi steak with wasabi mashed potatoes and tempura asparagus but then again that's the only thing I've ever ordered from there besides Apps.

Agree, i like Grand Lux and will often meet people there for apps/drinks.
those mashed potato rolls are divine!!

Jamaican Black Pepper Shrimp is great! I also love Chicken and Biscuit and this other dish I can't remember the name but it's Bow Tie Pasta with Chicken and mushrooms and it's a little spicy. Love it!
