front door with oval glass...

i love the way this looks, but do you feel like people can look in and see you? I've only ever had front doors with the windows on top. does it bother you to have the oval glass?

front door with oval glass...

We have all glass double French doors for our front doors. It's not tinted or frosted, just clear and we love it. We do have bushes and our house is a little higher than the street, so it's not that easy to see in. Plus, they'd be looking into a foyer, no one is in there. It lets in so much light too.

Re: front door with oval glass...

I got a frosted film from HD and installed that on the door 6 years ago. Works wonderfully. I have a thread on here with pics.

We have an oval door also and I love it. Lets in so much light. The glass in our door is kind of like stained glass but without the color if that makes any sense. You can not see in or out (view is distorted) but it lets in all the light.

We have a square glass door and honestly, I don't love it b/c of the lack of privacy. I like that it lets light in, but I don't like that someone can look through our front door into the entry hall/kitchen. It's also hard to not answer the door when solicitors come and I'm in the kitchen.

this. Can't see in (or out) but light gets in.

(You can see shadows of people when someone is at the door. Totally freaks my dogs out…)

We have the oval glass in our front door. I think it looks outdated and I want to replace it.

We have this also. You cannot see directly in or out - you have to put your face right up to one of the small pieces of glass and then you can kind of see through.

This is what I did with our door. Although we don't have oval, we have two long rectangles that go from the top to bottom of the door and you could def see inside the house.

Re: front door with oval glass...

We had this in our old house and I Hated it!

I felt there was a lack of privacy at the entrance. Basically whether we were home or not, someone could come to our door and peer into our house.
