3 cm and I think I lost my mucous plug!
So it looks like I've lost my mucous plug yesterday afternoon. Sorry for the tmi and Without getting too graphic it looked a glob of snot brown tinged. Is that really what it was? Pics online look like it. And is that the same thing as your bloody show? Even though I noticed very little blood. It was mostly brown. I also was checked yesterday at the doctors office and was 3 cm. I'm still not having regular contractions, but I am very crampy. Do you think I'm close at this point? I know it's hard to tell, but other ladies did you progress quickly after that? I'm anxious to get this show on the road. I'm done with pregnancy at this point! Super uncomfortable now.

Do the cramps come consistently at a certain interval? Or are they constant or very intermittent?? with my son I was checked on a wed night and was 2 cm and he stripped my membranes then the next day I was teaching and just had cramps every 10 min then every 5 min and when I got checked again I was 3 cm and in active labor and didn't even know bc they just felt like cramps but I guess they were contractions lol. Had my son that night!

unfortunately nothing consistent. It's very intermittently. I can't really even time them at this point.

I had my DD the day after losing my plug so you never know!!! My OB said losing the plug in small amounts means labor could be days to weeks but losing it in one big piece means the cervix is opening so labor will be very soon! Mine was a big brown mucousy ball. I never really got consistent contractions but my OB said to pay attention more to the severity of them. If they are getting stronger and you can't talk through them, labor is starting

yep I think it was the whole big piece! It was a clump the size of a nickel. Is that what you had? I've been still loosing smaller pieces but nothing like that. I'm not even sure how to tell if I'm in labor. I just have mild cramping here and there but I'm so dilated already I'm just afraid I won't make it to the hospital in time.

With both of my DC's I lost my plug at night and went into labor the next day. Good luck!

Definitely sounds like you're close. And not to scare you, but def pay attention to the "cramping". I was induced with my first, so I didn't know what to expect witha natural labor. I was 4cm dilated, lost my mucous plug, and went into labor the next day. I had what felt like cramps. First, like you said, they were here and there. But they did become more constant and intense. I almost didn't make it to the hospital in time. DD#2 came within 20 mins of me getting to the hospital, before I'd even completed the admissions process! Labor with #2 does progress much more quickly, more quickly than I ever thought. So don't hesitate to call even if you're not quite sure if it's it- chances are it is. Good luck!

Thank you. That's my fear honestly. That I'll go into labor and not even know it! And that I might not get there in time. It's so scary. I'm already at 3cm so when I do actually go into labor will it be so much quicker since I'm so progressed already. How did you know when the cramps were actually contractions?

You'll know. For me, the cramps got more intense and I started to notice a pattern about them. There would be a "height" of pain, it'd subside and then start back up again...that's when you'd be able to time them. At first, I wasn't sure, but after a while there was no denying something was going on....I just didn't realize how quickly it was happening!
