Is this round ligament pain? Possibly TMI
I just called my OB nurse to ask about it and she said it sounds like it, but I don't think I did a good job describing (maybe because it's hard to explain how your crotch feels over the phone from your cubicle).
Anyway, I had the round ligament pain on the sides of my belly a couple of weeks ago, and that seems to have subsided for the most part. I found it got worse when I was active, walking briskly, on the eliptical, that sort of thing.
But now, for the past 2 weeks or so, I felt like a muscular pull sensation in my groin area - really it's like the left side of my crotch. I haven't worried about it because it isn't my belly, or crampy or anything, but I just wondered if this is round ligament pain. It's just on the left side, is that normal? It feels like a pulled the left side of my vagina. TIA!!

Does it feel like lightning bolts to your vagina?

I don't know if it's round ligament, but I had it a few times throughout this pregnancy.

No, it's not lightning crotch! I had that around 16 weeks. This feels like a dull, achy muscular pain. In the same vicinity though!
ETA: can you get round ligament on one side and not the other?

Re: Is this round ligament pain? Possibly TMI
RLP is really just the ligaments that hold the uterus stretching and thickening to support the baby/uterus so yes, you can get on just one side.
This part is what makes me think it's RLP "I felt like a muscular pull sensation in my groin area" - I had that and this is what my doc said. I wasn't doing back bridges but it was a feeling that it would likely hurt so bad if I stretched to do a back bridge.
They say it occurs between 16-20 weeks. how far along are you?
Unless you did some squats/working out where you think you pulled a muscle?

I'm just over 28 weeks now. Maybe I just really pulled a muscle? I am not doing any strenuous exercise, but commuting has been a bi$h lately, and I am always running around. It really only hurts when I am walking or moving, it's fine when I'm still and even feels a bit better when I rest for a bit.

So maybe it's a little pull from a small slip on the ice in the wrong direction. Hope you feel better soon!

I *think* I know what you are talking about. I describe it as the cramps you would get when you were a kid and you would eat and then run or go swimming (which is why you should wait before you swim LOL) It's not exactly cramps...but a pulling pain that is low and off to the side. Mine was always on the right side and it happens only when I'm walking a lot, which is usually after work when I'm rushing towards the train. It stops when you slow down or sit. I'm 24 weeks...

Mine feels like a really bad muscle cramp... sort of like when your foot or calf cramps up, but in your uterus area. I noticed that it happens if I get up too quickly. It's quite painful!

J9 and JDubs - yes, those stitch-like pains are RLP and I was getting those on the side of my belly, which is fine. I also got them from walking a lot or too fast.
This though is more like a groin / crotch pain on the left side only. Not on the pelvis, but like the labia (TMI, sorry). I think that's the technical term, lol. It feels like I need to ice it. hahaha. I keep feeling for a bump or something, but there's nothing there.

It's all normal. Everything is pulling and stretching and supporting more weight.

What the heck is it? My doctor's office called me back and wants me to go in tomorrow for a sonogram, so I'm doing that. I'm excited to get to see the baby, but just hope everything is ok in there!!

I had that really bad when I pregnant with my DD. When I would get up from my chair I would have the worst pain. it was low and constant. I could only desribe it as I felt like I had been horseback riding for days. I told my doctor but he didnt seem to take me to seriously. I used espom salt baths, wedge pillows, tylenol and heating pads on low. it was horrible, Im sorry you are going through it.
