Poor neglected 2nd child.

Did you do everything last minute with your 2nd? We have t discussed names (mostly bc DH just refuses). I pinned some nursery stuff but we need to decide and buy furniture and switch rooms around. I was so much more prepared with our girls.

Eta, I'm 21 weeks. And baby's room will be across from ours so we will use it.

I feel the same way. Haven't taken any belly pics like I did with dd holding a sign of what week I was at. I'm a second child and I know how it goes lol. Going to make an effort tho when dd2 is here to do everything we did for dd

I'm pregnant with my first so can't answer as to how I would treat baby #2, but I am the 2nd child and can attest that yes, I got the shaft in certain aspects. The one thing that I bring up to my mom all the time to mess with her is that my older brother's baby book is perfectly filled out -- all his milestones, first tooth, hospital bracelet, first lock of hair, hospital footprints, hospital bassinet card that says "It's a Boy!" with his name and all info. Me? A baby book with my full name written on the page, along with my birthday and time. That's it. I also just recently learned that my baby blanket which I carried with me everywhere and slept with was actually a baby blanket given to my older brother but he never "took to it", so I got it instead! HAHAHA!

I haven't done anything! I didn't even take any clothes down from the attic to find a take home outfit. Never mind my hospital bag and I'll be 37 weeks on Friday. My friend borrowed my co sleeper and she still has it. My sister is living in the baby's room so the crib is in the attic, and I havent even checked the car seat or any baby items! ughh but somehow I'm not freaking out...

I wasn't that well prepared with the first & I'm even less so with this one.
No time, no energy.
Last time I took bump pics every week.. this time is barely happens once a month.
I didn't have a baby book or any of that with #1 so I'm sure it won't be happening with #2. I never set up a fancy nursery or anything like that. Oh well, not my personality.
I just really need to get my butt in gear & take out the stuff I'll need.. like the newborn & 0-3 clothes... and buy new bottles. I already got him a few bags of diapers so at least he'll have that lol! It's just this pregnancy is going so fast & my older kid is such a distraction it's tough to do anything!

This is my 3rd (as you know) and he has nothing. Just maybe like 10 outfits and 2 pkgs of diapers. I ordered a dresser today and I will order the crib this weekend when my parents come by (they're buying it)
He also doesn't even have a room yet.

Yes I never even bought a baby book (not that I really kept up with it the first kid but I dont even have one)

I haven't done a thing for this kid. I haven't thought about anything. By this time with DS, I had the whole nursery planned out, my registry done and I was ready to go. This one, I'm not even sure which week I am in my pregnancy. I probably should have signed up for those emails again.

I thought it was just me...glad to hear I'm not the only one!

I had a lot of miscarriages before this pregnancy and have been very superstitious in the first half about taking pictures, writing things down....but now that I'm 23 weeks, I want to get moving on these things!

Not my second but I haven't taken any belly pics. No rush to pick up stuff or check to see what I still have from DD. Maybe once May hits I will be motivated.

It's so true. With my first i was so well rested, filled my registry with so much crap I barely ever used, the nursery furniture was ordered by now and I was so excited to wash his clothes and setup his closet....

Now, after working FT and have a 3 year old (who gives me a run for my money), I'm like "she will live in onsies and stretchies for the first three months. Just buy diapers, wipes and new nipples for the bottles" lol

Yes. I'm almost 26 weeks with #2 and only starting to think about getting things together. But in actuality, I don't think we even have time to start buying stuff until April. Oh well.

Definitely true!! Barely any belly pics. Not enough time and just tired between running after DD, working full time, etc.

I've started giving some thought to the nursery but primarily because we want to do some other home improvement projects and it's all getting lumped in together.
