Ergo carrier ?
what age group is this for, from birth or for older toddlers.
do many moms like this option?
Is this in place of actually having to hold the LO?
does it allow for free hands is that the point?
Im not even having a baby but feel overwhelmed trying to decide what to buy lol

Ergo carrier ?
With a newborn insert you can use it immediately. It's up to you how long you use it. I still use it for dd at 20months. It provides hands free. Especially in the newborn stage when it soothes them and you can get stuff done. Go for walks
We use it now when we are in a crowded place and I don't want the stroller

Ergo carrier ?
You can use it from birth to toddler but like she said you need the newborn insert.

Re: Ergo carrier ?
I started using ergo when DD was in the sitting position (around 4 months). Ergo is easier on your back when kid becomes heavier.
I used a simple baby bjorn before then.
Yes, both allow you to be hands & stroller free with baby. I use them in the go (parks, zoos, walks) more than at home.
I stopped using ergo when winter came & DD was 1 year old. After that, she walked.

Re: Ergo carrier ?
This saved my life in newborn stage, well not really but maybe my mental health at least.
It was one of the only ways I could get DD to sleep. I would just strap her in and she would fall asleep, allowing me to use my hands, walk around, etc. Otherwise I was stuck holding her with 2 hands gently shaking/rocking - which didn't allow me to do anything, not even get a glass of water, etc.
We used it for close to a year. Handy in grocery stores and other places you don't want to push a stroller. By then DD did not want to get in it as she wanted more freedom.
Planning on using it for my second, one of my personal favorite products.
