a little worried re: movement

I am not a worrier by nature, but last night I got myself a little worked up so I'm hoping you girls can talk me back down.
Yesterday DH and I did quite a bit of spring cleaning inside the house. I am not one to sit still and do nothing, and sometimes i forget i need to take it easy. I do not think I over-did it, but there was a lot of bending over (and at 26w, that is becoming quite a chore). Between all the bending and I also did a total scrub down of the inside of my fridge, by dinner time i was exhausted. I didn't really drink my water either. I sat down and for most of the night, i didn't feel the baby move at all. I have been feeling Chat Icon consistently the last 6 weeks or so, but typically a lot at night when i sit down to watch TV. Last night, nothing. Even today, i definitely have felt movement, but i feel like it's been less than normal.
Should i be worried? I never experienced anything like this with my other 2 DC.

Would you call the dr? Wait another day or two to see if things resume? Maybe the baby is just having a lazy day? I dont know. I hate to be an alarmist.
Thanks in advance.

I am sure baby is fine. Take it easy today. Drink some juice and lay down. Monitor it though and if you concerned, doesn't hurt to call the doctor. GL! Chat Icon

a little worried re: movement

Thanks ladies. I just took a walk to the vending machine at work and got a bag of peanut M&Ms. As soon as i sat back down at my desk, i got 3 jabs right under my ribs. Maybe all that bending I did yesterday made the baby move into a different position so I'm not feeling the movement as much. I will still definitely take it easy the rest of the day/night and make sure i monitor the movements. I really appreciate the support! :)

Definitely don't hesitate to call your doctor when you have a big change in movement. I went in once around 26 weeks bc I wasn't feeling much and it ended up just being a change in position bc the baby was moving plenty even though I couldn't feel it. I went in again at 35 weeks for the same reason and ended up with an emergency cs because the baby was in distress. Both times the doctors were happy to have me come in. Good luck!

This is going to sound crazy but if you have a flashlight hold it to your belly and you may start getting movement try that first if you don't feel anything then call your doctor

a little worried re: movement

Sugar usually makes DD move. Whenever I feel she hasn't moved in a while and get nervous I have a little sugar. I usually end up regretting it when my ribs are black and blue an hour later. LOL!

But if you were cleaning all day and didn't drink much, make sure you drink a lot today.

Re: a little worried re: movement

Sometimes all that moving around can tire the baby out too. Some days, especially as you get bigger, you'll feel more movement than others. Try not to worry too much about it. If that happens again, drink something cold and sugary and lie down on your left side. Give it a little bit and see if there's some movement.
