28+ weeks no kicks/ little movement for 2 days and worried
I felt one kick yesterday morning, but none since. Also, very little movement...I've felt a few rolls here and there but not like I normally do. I usually feel the baby move and kick all day long and it's been that what for the past 4-5 weeks. Should I be worried? I have no idea if this is normal?

This happened to me 2 wks ago. He/she was a NUT for the whole wkd. Then Mon-Tues it was SLOW. Come wed i got NOTHING!! I was a wreck. Even at night when i laid down when he/she is usually really active, i got nothing. The next day it started up again but slow again. That went on for like 2 days. HATED IT!! I posted on here and i found that before 30+wks this is the patter n and it drives us all NUTS

Try drinking some juice or something cold and sugary and lay on your side. You should feel some movement after that. You could also give your OB a call and have them check you out for piece of mind. Sometimes babies have quiet days or change positions in such a way where it's harder to feel them move. I hope everything is okay!

I find at 27 weeks that my LO will be crazy active for 5 days.. and then takes a two day break. Which KILLS ME!!! But without fail He starts right back up again.
If you are too worried and can't calm down then def call the dr. It will make you feel better if you go in.

I would call the dr...there's no harm in having them check it out. A little reassurance goes a long way!

really? I guess I'm glad to hear that it's "normal", but it is the worst! and the whole no night time activity thing is what is bugging me out the most! and after I eat. Uusually the baby kicks me like crazy after I eat and nothing! I guess I won't feel better till he/she starts kicking again. Is there a reason why their movement changes before 30 weeks?

My md said if this happens to drink a glass of ice water and if I don't feel 2-3 good movements within 20 minutes to call the office.

If I was ever worried I would drink a little bit of pepsi - or some orange juice. That will do the trick!

Re: 28+ weeks no kicks/ little movement for 2 days and worried
I noticed a lot less movement from 27-28 weeks...for almost 2 weeks actually, the babies hardly moved at all...then boom started up again. NO idea why. MY Dr. said they have less room and they moves less....but All I know is I felt like you did.
But if your nervous, call the Dr. like others said, its always better to be reassured

When i had my freak out alot of people told me to drink OJ or something and lay on my side and you know what?? It didnt work. So dont freak out if that doesnt work either. You said you felt alittle something right? Thats what i got too. The littlest, teeniest movement.

No I never asked the dr .about it. I figured that it was my babies routine. and I'd be in L&D every week if I called. However.. if this isn't your DC "pattern" then call to reassure yourself.

Re: 28+ weeks no kicks/ little movement for 2 days and worried
I had this same exact thing happen to me at about the same time. Everyone told me to relax, that I was overreacting. Finally on the 3rd day (a monday) I called my doctors office and they had me come right over.
The weather was like it is now, really hot, and although baby was fine, they told me my fluid levels were low. They instructed me to immediately increase my consumption of liquids. I gulped 32 ounces of Gatorade as soon as I got home. I also drank lots of water, etc. and that night I felt a definite increase in the baby's movements. It was such a relief.
Don't take any chances call them. At my apptmt yesterday, my ob reminded me to call if I noticed any decreases in the baby's movements (i'm 30 weeks). She said NOT to wait 2-3 days. She added that a patient the day before had unfortunately waited 3 days to call after not really feeling the baby move and the outcome had not been good.
Trust your gut!
