Homemade chocolate lollipops
Are they hard to make?
I want to have them as favors for DS' communion but professional places charge so much!
I would love to make them myself but I never have tried before.
Any advice or tips?

Extremely easy, use a double boiler or even a crock pot to melt the chocolate...spoon into the molds and pop into freezer for a few minutes.
ETA: If you spray your molds with a little pam they slide out even easier

The only hard/tricky part is if you are trying to use 2 colors in one mold. But even then, you will put one color in the mold then let it harden and then put the other color on top.

Very easy. Go to the chocolate duck on main street in farmingdale, they carry Every mold you could think of!!!
Their chocolate is expensive though. I get the chocolate at Michaels with a coupon (or AC moore).
With the colors if it's just a little bit of color (I did crosses with a small rose in the center) you can use a paintbrush and paint the one color w/ the chocolate and then pour the rest.

Also wanted to add that the easiest way to get the chocolate in the mold is by using a squeeze bottle.

Yes, just do the chocolate in small batches and 30 seconds at a time so you make sure you are not burning the chocolate.
You can also create a double boiler by using a large stock pot and a glass bowl. Fill the stock pot with water about a third and then put a glass bowl on top and boil the water. Make sure the water is not hitting the glass bowl. Once the water is boiling then add the chocolate to the glass bowl and stir.
