WWYD?
I was driving my almost 5 year old and has friend to pre k. The other boy was telling my DS to "say the f word." So I told them no, they are not allowed to say that.
Would you say something to the mom? We're pretty friendly.

Re: WWYD?
Did he say "f word" or the actual word? If he used the phrase "f word" then I wouldn't bother. All kids do things that make us cringe as parents, I would rather suck some stuff up and hope that other moms do the same. I'm not saying this applies to you at all as I don't know you :) but I I don't want to have to worry about hearing a litany of my kids minor transgressions every time I pick him up from a play date. If it's something truly beyond the pale or disturbing, sexual etc then yes. But all kids overhear curse words and think it's funny/daring to repeat them.
However if he used the actual f word over and over and especially if he didn't stop when you asked, then I might.

Re: WWYD?
I would. But I wouldn't make a big deal about it. I would say just so you know the boys were talking and I overheard them and he was telling him to say this and I said no we are not allowed to say that. I would tell the mom just so you know and please if you ever hear my son say that, he knows he is not allowed to ever say that so please tell me.

WWYD?
I wouldn't say anything. Just make sure your own child knows you do not like that kind of language. I personally don't think its any of your business if the other child curses just as long as he respected your wishes and stopped when you asked.

Re: WWYD?
I didn't tell her. She has enough on her plate right now.
My DS knows what bad words are. He knows he is not allowed to say them. I just didn't like that this kid was trying to get him to say one. I remember when I was a kid and a friend of mine did the same thing to me, and I was so scared to say it.

I wouldn't - as long as my own son knows it's not acceptable to say it, AND that he shouldn't do things simply b/c another kid 'told him to' ......that's my only job.
I wouldn't potentially embarass or upset the other Mom - Kids say things we like to crawl under the table and hide from all the time.
