Growing flowers from seeds?

I'm thinking of trying this this year. so many people do it but I always just wait for mothers day.

I want to try it this year. if you are experienced, can you share some tips on how you do it.

(I mean growing them in those massive cup looking thingys where you grow a plant in each "cup").

My husband does this every year. He starts them in one of our spare bedrooms on a big folding table in front of the window. He waters them every day. He started them 10 days ago and some are already starting to sprout.

He grows them for about 5 weeks in the bedroom and then transfers them into our green house. From there into the garden.

Before he had a green house, he would just continue to grow them in the bedroom. Sometimes switching them into bigger pots.

He gets a lot of his stuff from burpee. He also YouTubed a ton when he first got into it to research.

DH has his whole office in pots!!! He has about 27 apple trees, all kinds of veggies going right now. He starts them in the plastic egg crates we have or he used the old yogurt containers. Just some dirt, a little hole, drop the dead cover and water everyday. when they get a little bigger he has been transferring them to a larger pot. He planted some sunday and they already have come up!!! very easy to do!

no they grow fast from seedlings. we did some a few weeks ago and they are growing like crazy. We bought the crates from HD that you cut apartt and plant the whole thing. all you need is the "Pots" soil and seeds and light. We don't get much sun in the house so we bought special lights to hang over them
