book recommendation needed
I have to read a short picture book to my DD's Kindergarten class on her birthday. Doesn't have to be a book about birthdays. Just something short.
Any suggestions ?

My son loves the Pidgeon Books:
- The Pidgeon Needs a Bath
-Don't let the pidgeon drive the bus
He also likes:
-if you give a mouse a cookie
-How do Dinosaurs say Goodnight
-E-mergency (it's really funny)

Read the "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive the Bus" to my daughter's Pre-K class and they looooved it! I also like Pete the Cat - Rockin' in My School Shoes and The Day the Crayons Quit.

I love the Mo Williams books. DD and her class loved them in K. Don't let the Pigeon Drive the bus was her favorite.

I also agree with the Pigeon books... My DS is in K and loves them. Some of the ones he finds really funny are "Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog" and "Pigeon Wants a Puppy."
Another Mo Willems book that my sister recommended (she used to teach K and her class was really entertained by it) is "That Is Not A Good Idea." My DS likes that one.. it's a little suspenseful with a funny twist.

I read Happy Birthday Mrs. Millie to Paxton's class on his birthday. It's a silly rhyming book that the kids and teacher loved. Any Pete the Cat book is good also. Sometimes I've tried to tie the class theme or time of year into the book as well. They could help you at S. Hunt library too.
