Kitchen renovation with kids

Has anyone gone through a kitchen renovation with small children?

when we moved in we made improvements to every room in the house except the kitchen and dining room, knowing that down the road we'd do a full renovation.

Now that I live in the house, I really HATE this kitchen and dining room and I would like to do it sooner rather than later so we can really enjoy our house.

BUT we have a 2 year old and 6 month old. I can't imagine going through the renovation with them being so small. Plus they are home all day with a nanny when we're at work.

How is this even doable? If anyone has gone through this renovation with little ones please let me know how it went, was it worth it? any advice appreciated.

My kids were young, but not that young. I think they were about 4 and 9. They went to school though during the day and then at night we stayed in the living room and had the microwave in there to cook food. We got food a lot out during that month though.

Kitchen renovation with kids

We did it with a 10 mont hold and a 2 year old. We set up a microwave and fridge in the Dining Room and completely sealed off the entrance to the kitchen. We did eat out a lot but we had everything we needed in the house anyway. The kitchen was done start to finish in 2 weeks and that was moving walls, plumbing electric etc so it wasn't bad.

We're finishing up our reno. We moved in with my parents for a month. We did out whole first floor, though. I think the guys were able to work faster since we were out of their way.
