CNN bringing awareness National Infertility Awareness Week® April 19 - 25, 2015

Hi everyone!!! Been a long time since I've been on the boards; I hope everyone is doing well!!!

CNN has put National Infertility Awareness Week in the spotlight, and it's getting some much needed press. Starting April 19th, they will be sharing stories of those afflicted with infertility; I think they may be interviewing people too, but don't quote me on that.

Many people have shared their stories. I just wanted to let everyone know, in case they wanted to read other families struggles and triumphs. I enjoyed reading the successes and the failures; makes me feel less alone.

My husband and I shared our story too. I wanted to let women know 1 what to expect, but also to let them know that all of the feelings they are feeling (negative and positive) are all normal...and it's ok. I wanted women to know they are not alone. Since sharing, I have gotten many messages thanking me for sharing and many people have shared their own stories with me; and that's why I shared :)

Very beautifully written story. Definitely brought tears to my eyes. I remember you & your kind words to which was a big help to me to get through this. I never forgot you & you will always be in my thoughts.

know that by sharing your story, so many
people will relate. Infertility is so lonely, so to have
someone so bravely share their story is huge.

ETA I love the part where you said you were no longer that girl in your wedding photo. That really hits home to me. I often get so depressed when thinking about life before infertility. Before I even knew. Everything was so different. My relationships with people, etc. Not only do I get depresssd by baby showers but weddings also do it to me now! I guess it just takes me back to a time before I was so jaded. It also reminds me of the future that people get to look forward to and I have not If that makes sense. Thx again for sharing.
