When did you start bringing baby out?
The Dr. said 6 weeks for stores and stuff- but what about relatives and friends houses?

We didn't wait 6 weeks for anything but I didn't really go more than to the grocery store or to friends houses.

Ryan went to my parents house when he was about 10 days old...
However we didnt really go to any stores til about 6 weeks...

Based on my doctor's recommendation, I waited 6 weeks for anyone who had exposure to kids. So anyone who had kids, was a teacher, etc. My family was really understanding, I have several family members in healthcare so they knew how serious fevers are in newborns.

I think I brought her to Babies R Us at about 7-10 days. She had her first trip to the park at 6 days. My doctor said not to bring her around large groups until 2 months, but her christening was at 5 weeks, so we just put her in an area by herself and only a few people held her. Now she's three months and my DH STILL insists people use Purell when they want to hold her at our house--I think that's a bit much!

We started taking her out at about 10 days... we took her to lunch, dinner, the stores, outside, etc... she was fine, and mommy REALLY needed her sanity back

First time out was his 6 week checkup. Then I started to bring him out on little errands in the stroller. Finally when he was around 3 months old I drove him to my parents house for a visit. They of course (as well as ILs) were always coming to visit us at our house...
