Good Luck, but be careful! Try a Evening Primrose if nothing happens.

Wasnt it i spent all night there barely walking the halls to get the babe to move down and it didnt work. The small amount of oil i took definitely helped get the contractions going though and if she were farther down it would have done the trick. Now im working on getting the baby farther down by doing pelvic tilts and boucing on my yoga ball. Maybe a little lovin from hubby and then mon i have another appointment in thw morning so if they say she is farther down i will do the small amounts of castor oil again.

Please be careful with the castor oil!!!
Evening Primrose Oil should be with the vitamins at any supermarket or drug store. It's a capsule. You can either take it orally or use it as vaginal suppository.

There are potentially dangerous side effects from taking castor oil. Please make sure your OB knows you're doing it before taking it (again).

Re: hoping this is it
be very careful with castor oil because it can cause the baby to have a bowel movement inside which we don't want. Evening Primrose oil was the only thing recommended by my OB with my last pregnancy and it worked for me I think I took it at 39 weeks and I gave birth on my due date I don't know if it was a coincidence but definitely worth trying.

I had a doctor not a midwife but I can tell you that it was a very traumatic experience that ruined labor for me. It was baby #3 at the time. I wish I would of listened to my doctor that if castor oil was used to start labor wouldn't every woman do it? lol. Not only is it a miserable way to start but it can bring on dehydration and fetal distress...it's an artificial way to start labor not under the supervision of a doctor like with pitocin.
Also, like said before from a PP a NICU team came rushing in and took my baby at first because of the bowel issue.
