NYCDOE PTC Night in May for 3 Hrs
How is your school organizing this May PTC....is it just individual conferences or like a workshop/forum/orientation? We've had no guidance and its a WEEK away-- Call me crazy, but I'd like to, ya know, prepare

4:30-600 mtg w grade down to discuss next year..... So don't ask me what I'm doing at "meet the teacher" next year in September lol
6-730 individual mtgs with promotion in doubt... Again... Even though we don't have test scores yet

NYCDOE PTC Night in May for 3 Hrs
4:30-7:30- 3 different sessions with the theme, "Learning Together", basically having parents come in whose child will be in the grade we teach next year and going over things.

We are having student led conferences from 5-8 where the kids come in and basically present their 4 core subject portfolios to their parents and explain everything. So dumb in my opinion.

ours was on Wednesday night- It was "student led conferences" which is when the students come in and do all the talking and say how their doing- supposed to show them how to hold themselves accountable for their actions... it's a good idea in theory, except that nobody shows up. Of the people who came (3 people), 1 brought their kid

We are running it like another PTC, except without a report card to show.
I like the idea of parents going to the next grade up and preparing for the next year but our admin. said no.

NYCDOE PTC Night in May for 3 Hrs
Ours is this Wednesday 5 to 8. I work in a D75 program. I may have 1 or 2 parents come out of 18 students that I have on my caseload. Guess I'll get time to catch up on SESIS.
