Deodorant...

This might be a weird question but should you using a certain type of deodorant while breastfeeding? Like an organic type? Did anyone change deodorants while breastfeeding? Thanks!

Re: Deodorant...

Personally, I tried to not wear deodorant while I was breastfeeding. I normally wear a natural one without aluminum, but I was more concerned about the fragrance for a little baby, since it can be irritating.

For what it's worth, I almost never wore deodorant in my adult life before kids. You definitely smell at first, but your body gets used to not having it. I was always asking people if I smelled though ,lol. You gotta have people you trust around if that's the route you go, haha.

Every once in a while my DH will look at me and, quite exasperated, say "you stink".... He's been saying it less and less.... how long do you think it took before your body got used to it? I'm noticing I'm less smelly this week.

Re: Deodorant...

someone on the beauty board recommended "thai crystals roll-on" and it is awesome!

it's aluminum free, which has never worked for me, but i thought i'd give it a shot because she raved about it.

it actually works.

i would honestly reapply regular deoderant anyway so i figured why not. i'd give it a try.

i found it on amazon.

I really have no idea, it was years ago. I know it took a little while tho, maybe a month or more.

Deodorant...

I tried natural deodorant years ago, not easy to find and smell wise, you may as well wear nothing.

I use one from Kiss my Face- any natural store will have it. The Toms one didn't work too well for me. I switched when I was pregnant with my first but since I have shown early signs of breast cancer, I am even more aware of what type of deodorant I use.
