What blood test did I just have done to check sex of baby - I am 11 weeks
I had a blood test today and cannot remember the name of it and its really annoying me. Its to test for genetic issues (downs, Trisomy 13) and can also tell the sex of the baby. She only took 1 vile of blood - does that sound right????
I know its NOT Maternal21 or Verifi or Panorama or Harmony - I sware it was something else I haven't heard of. I swore the nurse said Intelli-somehting but it wasn't intelligender. But she asked if I was having the test to find out the sex of the baby and I said no we just want to make sure he/she is genetically ok. Anyway she seemed confused and now I am confused. She did confirm the test had to be done between 11-12 weeks which is also what my dr said. She said there was another test for downs done at 14 weeks but I said no not that one the dr def said to come at 11 weeks. Anyway I think I may call tomorrow to ask the name and just make sure it checking for all genetic issues and not just the sex ugh. Why only 1 vile of blood?

I called and it is called Informasec - never heard of it but apparently its a bit newer

^yes thats a cell free DNA test, mine was only one vial as well
