One of the handles on my bag ripped off on one side. I'm so annoyed. I'm not exactly hard in my bag. I'm wondering what to expect when I bring it to be repaired. Do they guarantee their "finest artisan craftsmanship" or are they going to bang me over the head for the repair?

No. I can't remember the model name. I think it sounded something like montpelier. Its an actual handbag. Saks refused to give me a quote over the phone as to the possible range of cost of repair.

My girlfriend had a special editions bag a few years ago. After 2 years the patent leather was pealing. She brought it to the LV store in Short Hills and they sent it out. They ended up sending it back to France and it couldn't be repaired. They gave a store credit for the full value of the bag.

I guess depending on the how the handle is attached will determine the fix.

I was charged. I think it was about $150. The nice part was that the sales girls kiss your ass when you drop it off and when you pick it up!! I was wearing Chanel nail polish and the girl asked me I how I was liking the new color. She definitely figured that I do all my shopping at LV and Chanel and she showed me all their new bags. So I spent $150 to have my ass kissed.
