Pedicure Spinoff: Clean nail salon on South Shore (Nassau / Suffolk)
Any reccos for a spa that uses liners for pedicures on the South Shore? Willing to travel to someplace nice.

Pedicure Spinoff: Clean nail salon on South Shore (Nassau / Suffolk)
Joyce nails in Patchogue on Sunrise hwy uses liners. I was just there Friday. They also have another location in East Islip not sure if they use them there also.

Fantastic Nails in Merrick/ North Bellmore. They were using them last month...not sure if it was a promo and they still are. Give them a call

a plastic liner they put in the pedi tubs that is only used one per person. people think its cleaner but its not the actual tub that harbors the bacteria its the jets so if they use liners but still have jets it doesn't make a difference.

Yes! The main thing is that you never put your feet in the tubs with the jets.
It is impossible to clean inside those jets so that is where all the bacteria and fungus reside.
For the pedicure tub to be truly sanitary it's need to be just a basin with no jets that can be thoroughly disinfected, or liners can be used in that for extra peace of mind.

I didn't even know these liner things existed. Then after reading this I happened to walk into Fantastic Nails in Seaford (there are two across the street from each other, same owner on Jerusalem ave) and not only did they have liners but everyone got a new file and buffing block. Great Mani/ped by the way.
Then I was driving down Merrick road in Massapequa and saw a sign in the window of a place saying they had liners. I bet we start to see them pop up everywhere.
ETA: They still had a jet that they put into the liner with a magnet. But I bet you could ask for no jet.
