kotobuki in babylon- also aji 53 (sp?) in bayshore is soooo good!

For fancy birthday I say Aji 52 in Bayshore. New York style atmosphere w great cocktails.
Also love my home town joint Liki in Amityville. Yummo

We've been to Liki a few times in Amityville and it's really nice and quiet.
I like Tai Show on Merrick Rd. in Massapequa too, but it's always such a zoo in there. DH and I like sitting in the little rooms where they close you in :D.

I've heard that Aji 53 is really good, but I've never been there. We really like Roppongi in Amityville.

I am in the minority but I really don't love Kotobuki...it is overrated to me. I LOVE Sakura, which is across the street from Kotobuki in Babylon. It is a small place with awesome service, but the atmosphere isn't anything fancy. I go there allll the time. Aji 53 in Bay Shore is good too. It's more of a trendy atmosphere.

I've never been to the Kotobuki in Babylon, but the one in Hauppague is totally overrated as well.
Hotoke in Smithtown is fantastic, so is Aji 53 in Bay Shore.

Another Aji 53 fan here.
If looking to stay within 5 minutes from my house I will go to Roppongi in Amityville.
