NYC DOE salary step question
If next year I am beginning say my 5th year do I start on step 5 or do I go to step 5 salary when I finish my 5th year? Thanks

NYC DOE salary step question
I believe you start on step 5. I just started with the DOE this year and came in with 7 years experiences. I started on 7A.

I thought so but someone told me I won't be on that step until I complete the year... It might be different since you started at step 7?

edited cause I totally misunderstood your question based on the other answer
I believe you start year 5 on step 5 just as you start year 1 with step 1,
you can check all this on payroll portal

NYC DOE salary step question
you start on 5a at the beginning of the year and then mid-year you begin 5b. You don't get the longevity increase until you're done with your 5th year though

In Sept you will start at step 5A.
