Party Food Help
My daughter's 2nd birthday party is Saturday...we're having a family/friend pool party...we were planning to do Italian food since thats what we personally enjoy, but since it is supposed to be so hot, we figured we would go with something a bit lighter...we have about 40 people coming...I'm thinking hero (italian, american, and possibly something gourmet-ish), a tray of salad, a tray of sausage and peppers, hot dogs and toppings, and potato and pasta salad...does that sound like enough variety for the main meal? We're also doing appetizers (hummus, taziki, spinach dip, fresh salsa, kielbasa).

Re: Party Food Help
There isn't really a main option for vegetarians. and not a lot that is kid friendly. Maybe add something eggplant or a mozz/tomato hero.

Re: Party Food Help
That would be fine for our family and friends- we have no vegeterians in our group
I might add a kid friendly thing though- maybe chicken nuggets or something?

I was thinking the same thing, the one veg just takes the meat off the hero & eats the bread & cheese, or she'll often bring her own veggie burgers.
As an aside, in my family, what you listed is what the kids eat, we never believed in a "kids menu" for family functions.

I have one vegan friend that prefers not to have something special just for her. I usually make sure my salad doesn't have cheese and she eats appetizers. I don't do anything special for the kids typically...maybe I'll add in a veggie hero, though I find it typically doesn't go at my parties!

I think that sounds good. I don't really add in kid food either. My Dd would eat the hero and hot dog lol.
