ok so i have a VERY long history of PCOS- diagnosed about 12 years ago. anyway years of birth control masked the problems. i spent sometime on and off in between but never any changes. so finally i went off the pill in 2012 and haven't been back on it since. i have gotten my period maybe 6 times on my own in the last 2 years, the rest was with provera. Usually, after taking the provera, i would get my menses on my own for a month or 2 following then disappear. So fast forward to now, i have been TTC for about 8 months. in those 8 months i have taken provera once- january. got my menses in Feb, skipped march then got it on the exact date in april. at that point i assumed hey maybe things are normalizing. so may rolls around nothing (however i was so ridiculously stressed with work and working around 12 hours a day). so june gets here i assume it would appear, nothing, july nothing. I made a GYN apt and had my appointment yesterday. i was given provera & clomid to use clomid days 5-10. i had an ultrasound done yesterday no cysts- none i was SO SHOCKED. i have NEVER had a sonogram with no cysts...EVER. so if you were me, would you take the provera only and see what happens or would you be more aggressive and go provera/ clomid. i had blood work done yesterday and should get the results tomorrow. my doctor will be calling me friday with the results to give me the ok to start provera/ clomid. he is leaving the decision to start clomid up to me and gave me all the instructions to follow. i am just so confused. i didn't really ever want medication to get pregnant but now here i am, sad, confused, and angry and just don't know what to do. any advice would be so beneficial and appreciated.
thank you for listening :)

I don't have any personal experience with this for myself but my BFF has PCOS and agonized over taking clomid when she was TTC. She finally decided to take it and right away got pg with her daughter who is now almost 7. She also has a son who was conceived naturally a couple of years later. If it were me and I was really ready to be pg, I would take the clomid. Try not to agonize too much over this. Things usually have a way of working out for the best. Best of luck to you!
