pizza dough
We get it from our favorite pizzeria. Not sure where you're located, but we buy ours from Paradiso in Rockville Centre.

Re: pizza dough
This was from another thread a while back I posted so I just copied and pasted here:
we have a stone as well, i think we got it at target a while ago.
We heat it at 500 degrees for 1/2 hr. Then we bake up the crust for a few mins popping the bubbles as it cooks, then take it out and add toppings. Pop back in until cheese is melted and hot. We also put the dough on parchment paper and bake on there. Makes it easy to take in and out of oven.
This is dough I make: Pizza Dough From Cooks Illustrated:
2-2 1/4 cups unbleached all purpose flour 1 teaspoon instant or rapid rise yeast 1/2 teaspoon 3/4 warm water (110 degrees) vegetable spray
Pulse 2 cups flour, yeast, and salt together in a food processor (i use my kitchen aid mixed with hook) to combine. With it running, pour the water through the feed tube and process until a rough dough forms, 30-40 seconds. Let the dough rest for 2 mins, then process for 30 seconds longer. If after 30 seconds the dough is sticky and clings to the blade, add the remaining 1/4 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, as needed.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured counter and from it into a smooth, round ball. Lightly coat a large bowl with spray and place the dough in the bowl. Lightly cover a sheet of plastic wrap with spray and cover bowl tightly. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, 1 -1 1/2 hours, before using.
Variation- substitute 1 cup whole wheat flour for 1 cup of the ap flour.
The dough can be made ahead of time. In step don't let the dough rise, but refrigerate it overnight or up to 16 hours, then let the dough sit at room temp for 30 mins before using.

Re: pizza dough
It varies.
Sometimes I buy pizza dough from the pizzerias; but I feel it comes out too doughy. And they also want almost $4.
I used to get the packaged fresh dough in Stop and Shop. But now I get it at Shop Rite. Also bagged in the fridge section. Comes out the best.

Re: pizza dough
It sounds crazy but DH likes the bag mix you can buy for like 50 cents at Stop & Shop.
I double the recipe and use two bags though.
Crust comes out nice and thick and I usually have leftovers for lunch the next day.
