feet, hands etc. falling asleep
I'm about 18 wks now, and have noticed over the last 2 or so that my legs, feet and hands tend to fall asleep a lot more often than ever (i.e. they tingle etc.) --- obviously this is likely a circulation problem -- anybody ever have something similar? Do you think I should raise it with my doctor?

Re: feet, hands etc. falling asleep
I had this during my pregnancy, mostly in my hands and arms and it was awful. I also had really bad carpal tunnel. I hope things are different for you but mine lasted from the point they started for the rest of my pregnancy to the point that I couldn't even write normal. I asked my doc and there was nothing that could really be done, it was a side effect of the swelling. I will say though, about 2 weeks after having my baby, it went away. Good luck with it, I know it stinks!

It only happens to me when I'm sleeping. But I had this happen even when I am not pregnant.

Ask your doctor. It sonds like it could be carpal tunnel. It sometimes happens during pregnancy and post partum. I would get a hand brace. They sell them at CVS. It helped me a lot. I had it post partum for a few weeks (not during pregnancy). It was very uncomfortable but eventually went away (3-4 weeks).

Re: feet, hands etc. falling asleep
It's pregnancy related carpal tunnel. I had it with my first and eventually some of my fingers were numb constantly. I started wearing braces at night on my hands and wrists, but towards the end, I wore thrm all the time. The braces definitely helped. Once I delivered, things were much better and I was completely back to normal within a few weeks. Hopefully yours won't get to the same point, but it is fairly common to experience the tingly feeling more often during pregnancy.
