Beauty blender or something like it?
What's the difference between it and regular spines?

Re: Beauty blender or something like it?
I am not sure but the last two beauty blenders I have used fell apart much faster than my original one. That said, it blends in my foundation perfectly. My skin looks super smooth using it. So I wet it, wring it out, and then use it to blend out my foundation.
I have also used the Sonia kashuck, and a generic one from cvs. Real techniques supposedly makes a good one too, but so far the beauty blender is the best for my skin.

It is a pink sponge that you can get at sephora. You wet it a few times and then wring it out. You put your foundation or bb or cc cream on with it.

I just heard that this one is just as good if not better than the beauty blender and for a fraction of the cost

Re: Beauty blender or something like it?
My concern with all these wet sponges is, doesn't it just wipe your foundation right off? I need decent coverage, won't a wet sponge just kind of wipe it all away as I blend?

This is the one I use and it's fantastic. I wash it after every time I use it with baby shampoo and let it dry.

Not if you apply correctly. I wet it and squeeze it out so it's damp. Put some foundation on the back of your hand and pick it up with the sponge, then dab it on your face. You can also apply foundation right to your face in large "dots" and use the sponge to blend.
You ever see those 80s home decor shows where they sponge on different color paints on the walls to decorate their house? That is what you do to your face - dab, not wipe. Foundation stays on and looks amazing.

IMAGE I've tried a few including the real techniques one. This one is close to the real thing but IMO the real beauty blender is the best.

Re: Beauty blender or something like it?
I like the beauty blender a bit more then the real techniques one only because it doesn't absorb as much product. Not sure its worth the extra money.

it takes a try or two, to get it right. But it doesn't wipe the make up away.

Re: Beauty blender or something like it?
I sometimes lightly dry the outside of the sponge (real techniques) it is still wet on the inside, which gives it that bouncy texture.
I did find my real techniques ones fall apart faster than the original Beauty Blender.
Sometimes I apply with it, other times, I just blend after applying with my fingers.
Regular makeup sponges (like the wedge ones) are a different texture. They can apply, but don't blend as well b/c you need more pressure. They also can't be re-used.
