Scented laundry detergent help
I get a TON of hand-me-downs from a family memeber; I love the clothes, they are washed with scented detergent. Even after 5 washes I can still smell the scent. It's not bad, but I don't like scented detergent. Any tips on how to get the scent out? Just keep washing??
TIA

Have you tried a mixture of vinegar and peroxide? With just Cold Water; no added detergent. Maybe use a cup or two; and let it soak in your washer with the water; then let the machine run the rest of its cycle.

A product called RLR laundry stripper. It's meant for stripping cloth diapers. I had articles of clothing I had washed over a dozen times and the smell was still very strong, this worked after one overnight soak (vinegar, baking soda, washing soda, nothing would touch it).
