switching doctors
I just had my doctors appointment and I let him know I'd most likely be leaving. I waited it out to hear the results of anatomy scan before telling him and then I felt like he shewed me out the door. I feel bad, am I just over thinking it? Did anyone else switch?

Re: switching doctors
On my 16th week appt, i told my doctor i will also be switching only because my employer is switching insurance not for any other reason.
She didn't get upset at all, she even offered to give me a good referral.

Why are you changing?

This. It all kind of depends on the reasoning behind leaving, and how you presented the info to the dr.

switching doctors
I'm going to stony brook midwives because I like the hospital better than good sam, they'll push for natural birth, and no IV. I told him I'd be switching because of the hospital.

Re: switching doctors
I've had friends that switched. I,wouldn't feel bad, you need to do what you need to do to feel comfortable!

switching doctors
I switched at 20 weeks because my first Drs office was a nightmare. Never told them just asked for records and never went back. There are doctors that won't take someone after a certain point in the pregnancy so make sure you ask at a new place.
It was honestly the best decision I ever made. I found the most amazing caring dr ever. Never once shooed me or made me feel crazy for questions etc. also never had waits which was big since the old practice had 2 hr + waits.

If you changed because of the hospital, I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like you told the OB, "I'm changing because I don't like you." I honestly probably wouldn't even have said anything. Just told the front desk to send my files to the new dr.
